Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Birmingham
Pay Rate: £14.21 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off
Working Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of 8 cleaners in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations across both airside and landside areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety and service are consistently maintained.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous cleaning or supervisory experience who enjoys leading a team and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of 8 cleaning operatives.
- Oversee cleaning operations across both airside and landside areas, alternating between locations as required.
- Allocate daily duties and ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standard.
- Monitor cleaning quality and carry out regular inspections.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Manage attendance, punctuality and staff performance.
- Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
- Report any issues, incidents or maintenance requirements to management.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent standards of professionalism and customer service.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous cleaning supervisory or team leader experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern.
- Experience in an airport or other security-sensitive environment would be advantageous.
