An exciting opportunity has arisen within our business for an experienced HR Manager. The hours are 20-30 per week, Monday to Friday, on-site at our Head Office, near Ulverston, Cumbria. These hours and days are flexible for the right candidate and can be discussed at interview.

This role is for a detail-oriented individual passionate about HR who will support various HR functions and development within the organisation.

The Role

As HR Manager, you will provide advice and support to all management and advise employees on queries and concerns relating to their employment terms and conditions, HR policies and procedures. Specifically, this will include disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance issues in line with company procedures. You will provide a customer-focused outlook with a high level of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism. A key part of the role will be ensuring the Staff Handbook and employment contracts are kept up to date and in line with current legislation. You will manage various HR queries throughout the business and serve as a focal point for people-related activities in support of recruitment and retention. Additionally, you will oversee the administration of payroll and pension scheme.

Qualifications

CIPD qualified.

Experience Required
  • Minimum 3–5 years HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and multi-task
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • A thorough understanding of HR best practices
