This is a full-time hybrid (in office 3 days per week) position based in London. Looking for a highly rewarding sales role allowing a great deal of autonomy? The kind of role where you’re acting as a consultant, creatively compiling and selling custom sponsorship packages? Then this might be the role for you.

Reuters Events are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to sell tailored event sponsorship packages across our international portfolio of Life Science events. In this varied and lucrative role, you'll partner with some of the world’s most renowned healthcare, technology and pharmaceutical brands and sell a range of sponsorship packages on our thought leadership-led events.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with other executives across the Life Sciences team to sell tailored sponsorship packages to a variety of global brands.
  • Focus on selling across events within the Healthcare portfolio, with a significant market presence in the USA.
  • Report to the Head of Sales for Healthcare and Pharma.
  • Drive revenue across the healthcare portfolio as lead seller.
  • Communicate value propositions tailored to clients' business goals.
  • Be curious around changes in business markets and how our events can help clients navigate change.
  • Collaborate with our Conference Production team to establish the best audiences and maximise the success of our conferences and events.

About You:

  • Demonstrable experience in the events industry, with experience of selling sponsorship packages.
  • Commercial acumen to spot opportunities and drive the future growth of the pharma and healthcare portfolios.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable representing the Reuters brand when engaging with other industry-leading businesses.
  • Demonstrable B2B sales and new business development experience, ideally in an events, conference-led or publishing setting.
  • A collaborative attitude, succeeding both individually and within a team-based environment.
  • The desire to progress and develop your skills further.
  • The ability to adapt to changes in markets and articulate potential solutions to a range of stakeholders.
