We are seeking a Solution Consultant to support our Sales Teams in the sales cycles. The qualified candidate possesses strong global tax experience to support our sales efforts for ONESOURCE Indirect Tax compliance and ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination solutions.

About the Role: This role requires the technical knowledge and experience to discuss complex indirect tax issues facing multinationals today with a particular focus on Europe. The specialist should understand the day-to-day challenges facing companies in complying with local and global compliance and reporting obligations and be able to discuss clients' tax processes, tax technology needs and providing insight on how to improve and implement processes and technology to resolve challenges. The Solution Consultant conducts thorough needs analysis for targeted demonstrations, uncovers potential objections, and assists in defining the competitive landscape.

Knowledge of Indirect Tax requirements and business processes enables the Solution Consultant to document and prepare tax scenarios and use cases, offering prospective clients practical automation solutions for the demands of determining, calculating, and reporting on Indirect Tax. The Solution Consultant is also responsible for helping to shape the direction of the Indirect Tax products by communicating market needs to the Proposition and Product Management team. The successful candidate will be working with colleagues around the globe on exciting initiatives in a growth environment.

External Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent ONESOURCE Indirect Tax solutions to all levels of potential customers in the tax and finance teams of global companies.
  • Manage multiple customer prospects, actively identify tax process issues and support the sales team in developing proposals and customer business cases to establish a ‘win’ in the overall sales process.
  • Lead solution demonstrations, presenting value proposition and aligning solutions to the customers’ business needs.
  • Communicate through multiple channels, including phone calls, virtual and onsite presentations.
  • Responsible for drawing on the appropriate skills in the areas of Indirect Tax compliance, business processes, and business operations throughout the sales process.
  • Take responsibility for the client experience and ensuring that customer excellence is delivered throughout the sales cycle and delivery process, developing a trusted advisor relationship with client stakeholders in order to help create client champions and advocates.

Internal Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a Europe product expert for the Indirect Tax solutions, focusing on ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance and ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination, and working with the other Solution Consultants in the team to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are apprised of latest developments and the product roadmap.
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining demo data to present different use cases based on customer needs, develop scripts and product documentation.
  • Support the preparation of technical resources for the Sales teams to use, deliver product/service enhancement presentations, trainings to sales teams on industry and product updates.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Work with Marketing and the Sales team on activities including white papers, webinars, events and conferences to drive new opportunities.
  • Work closely with Product Management to identify industry trends, collect feedback from the field, evaluate capability enhancements and validate business cases for future development.

About you:

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Extensive experience in Indirect Tax, VAT consulting at an accounting firm or within the multi-national corporation having ‘hands on’ tax and accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Indirect tax complex supply chain transactions (multi-party), having the understanding of the VAT implications.
  • Familiarity or understanding with ERPs (ORACLE, SAP) and/or other financial systems in aspects around the associated document flow requirements (PO’s, invoices etc) for trades in both B2B and B2C.
  • A dynamic presenter and quick thinker, experienced in presenting with the personal gravitas, ability to articulate the value proposition, as it relates to each prospect's unique critical business tax issues.
  • Customer oriented approach with strong skills in negotiation, complex problem solving and conflict management.
  • Highly entrepreneurial and ability to work across multiple teams/parts of the organisation.
  • Ability to successfully work in an agile environment.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple functions and levels in the organization to develop joint solutions.
  • Resourceful and highly organised self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and operate successfully in a complex, dynamic, fast paced, highly collaborative, and continuously evolving environment.

Education/ Certifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification in accounting or tax.
  • Superior and demonstrable communication skills – written and verbal communication abilities and training skills/experience. (English language essential, additional languages will be considered an asset).
