This hybrid position is based in London (3 days per week in our Canary Wharf office). Reuters' Custom Content Studio produces high-impact branded content programs for leading global brands. We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Program Management to lead our global program management function and support delivery across Reuters Plus and Reuters Events and ensure that campaigns and programs are delivered with operational excellence on time, in-budget, and to the highest standard.
As Senior Manager, Program Management, you’ll lead a global function at the centre of how Reuters delivers premium custom content programs and event-related client deliverables. You’ll work with world-class journalists, producers, strategists, and commercial teams to deliver campaigns for top-tier global brands. You’ll combine your commercial acumen, project management and excellent customer service skills to ensure that our clients’ needs remain at the heart of what we do.
This is a cross-functional role that blends people leadership, hands-on campaign oversight, and operational strategy. You’ll set the operating rhythm for the team, remove delivery roadblocks, strengthen our production processes, and partner closely with Sales, Content Strategy, Audience Development, Ad Ops, and external creative resources to deliver measurable client outcomes. You’ll also partner with stakeholders across Reuters Events to support the planning and delivery of event-related content programs and integrated commercial packages, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality are consistently managed end-to-end.
This is a great role for a collaborative, commercially-minded and operationally focused leader that wants to oversee a client-facing team. You’ll ensure our campaigns run smoothly with clear timelines in place and will ensure there are no last-minute surprises for anyone involved. You’ll act as a supportive coach to the team, ensuring consistent ways of working and driving continual high standards, and will also play a key part in shaping RFP responses that are both realistic and commercially smart, ensuring we protect the client experience while staying practical about what we can deliver.
About The Role
- Lead and develop a global program management team across regions (US, Europe, APAC and Middle East), fostering a collaborative, commercially-minded culture focused on delivering excellent client outcomes in support of Reuters Plus and Reuters Events.
- Allocate work and actively manage bandwidth across the team to ensure balanced workloads and predictable delivery, acting as the senior escalation point that removes blockers and ensures the team has what it needs to deliver work of the required standard.
- Identify recurring issues (snags/patterns), drive shared learning, and align regions on best practices while staying responsive to local realities.
- Own the operational delivery of multiple concurrent content campaigns, ensuring clear end-to-end plans, timelines and areas of accountability.
- Lead the internal operating rhythm for campaign execution, including weekly production meetings to align priorities, confirm action items, and track progress across every active program.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Reuters Plus and Reuters Events to ensure end-to-end execution across: Content production; design and development; audience development and paid social planning/execution; media planning and Ad Ops for custom ad unit build, trafficking, and delivery; and external vendors and freelance creatives (e.g., videographers, designers, writers).
- Maintain strong control of scope, schedule, budget and quality, flagging risks early and proposing pragmatic solutions. Work closely with both clients and senior leaders, offering accurate visibility into status, risks and growth strategies.
- Partner with Sales and Content Strategy on RFP responses, building budgets, resourcing models, recommending content mixes and deliverable plans, and stress-testing feasibility to protect quality and margins.
- Support Reuters Events programs by building and managing delivery plans for event-related client deliverables (e.g., sponsored content, event-focused production elements, promotional assets, and integrated media packages), aligning cross-functional teams and proactively managing risks, dependencies, and timelines.
- Supporting training and enablement initiatives for your internal teams (e.g., CRM and partner groups) to ensure consistent processes and delivery.
- Own and improve program management standards, templates, and documentation, maintaining an evolving library of 'How-To' guides and ensuring new deliverables/processes are regularly updated.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in program/project management within branded content, media, publishing, marketing, or a related client-delivery environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing, leading and developing global teams, ideally across multiple time zones.
- A commercial approach to branded content, with a great understanding of branded content production workflows and the realities of delivering advertiser-funded programs.
- Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets, resourcing, and stakeholders across complex, multi-workstream projects where priorities and delivery risk shift at speed.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills—able to run meetings, manage expectations, and translate complexity into clear plans.
- Strong judgment, operational rigor, and a practical problem-solving approach under deadline pressure.
If you have experience of supporting event-related programs or integrated campaigns (e.g., sponsorship deliverables, event content production, or cross-platform packages) in partnership with events teams, we’d like to hear more about this on your application.
