Reuters, the world's largest multimedia news provider, is seeking an experienced Director of Internal Communications to lead internal communication strategies, supporting the company's business objectives during a period of significant change. This role involves providing counsel to executive leadership, creating various communications materials, and enhancing employee experience in collaboration with Thomson Reuters.

This role will report to the Vice President of Communications, Reuters, but will also work closely with the VP, Internal Communications, Thomson Reuters and her team to help deliver a gold standard employee experience to all Thomson Reuters employees.

About The Role
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Manage internal communications channels, ensuring high‑quality materials and effective messaging.
  • Create content for executive presentations including monthly town halls, email messages and internal digital channels.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership, including the President and Editor‑in‑Chief.
  • Support cultural change initiatives and collaborate with HR and colleagues across both Reuters and Thomson Reuters on business change programs.
Scope & Impact
  • Deliver internal communication strategies to support Reuters and its leadership team.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Reuters businesses and internal communications best practices.
  • Communicate complex ideas to various organizational levels and negotiate solutions between key individuals to ensure communications are strategic, engaging and effective.
About You
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation, internal communication platforms and channels, and social media; video editing is a plus.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of work and maintain attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced environments with confidential information.
  • Innovative thinker with a team‑player attitude, thriving in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to create effective change communications strategies and campaigns; experience with AI‑driven business change would be a plus.
  • Experience with using AI to improve communications workflows.
  • Experience running effective and engaging employee town halls, webinars and events.
