Role Profile:
The Real Estate team in London forms an integral and seamless part of an award-winning practice which spans a complete range of real estate services to clients, from development, joint ventures, structured investments, acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, retail and real estate finance to construction and property litigation. The team combines a deep and current legal expertise with sophisticated marketplace knowledge and industry expertise and acts for the full spectrum of stakeholders. Additionally, the global expansion of the firm over recent years has provided an international angle to the real estate practice.
The team are looking to hire a Senior Associate with experience in general commercial real estate transactional work. The team works on a wide variety of real estate transactions, both domestic UK transactions and supporting activities of the firm's global clients.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven transactional background, preferably with asset management experience.
- Investment based disposals and acquisitions (including corporate share acquisitions).
- Working with a project team including construction, tax, finance, corporate and planning colleagues both within the UK and internationally.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial real estate documents such as sale/purchase contracts, transfers, easements, licences and agreements for lease and leases.
- Dealing with the usual real estate due diligence requirements such as the preparation/review of certificates/reports on title.
- Carrying out asset management and portfolio management work and providing general landlord/tenant leasing advice.
- A general understanding of development transactions would be useful, but not essential.
