Responsibilities
- Advise developers, contractors, funders and professionals on transactional construction matters and coordinate with Real Estate
- Lead on stand-alone construction/engineering projects for both developer and contractor sides
- Counsel on construction aspects of cutting-edge energy projects
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated legal solutions
- Stay informed on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in construction law
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Contribute to business development, including client pitches and proposals
- Participate in thought leadership, such as writing articles and delivering presentations
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor in Scotland or England Wales with circa 7+ PQE in Construction Law
- Proven track record advising on complex construction projects
- Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC and FIDIC forms as well as bespoke contracts
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
