b Overview /b p In this role you will support regulation markets work within a leading Scottish firm, focusing on competition and utilities regulation. You will handle high-profile matters for clients, often in a client-facing capacity, across the UK energy and telecoms sectors. The role offers Edinburgh or Glasgow base with remote-working opportunities and opportunities to influence cutting-edge regulatory disputes and market developments. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver clear legal advice and develop your client skills in complex regulatory matters. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive salary and benefits package /li li remote-working opportunities /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Advise clients on competition law and merger clearances at EU and CMA levels /li li Support regulatory investigations by UK regulators across energy, water, and telecoms sectors /li li Contribute to regulatory and competition litigation and follow-on damages matters /li li Engage with clients to understand needs and present clear, practical legal advice /li li Assist on major energy projects, including offshore wind, hydrogen, and CCUS developments /li li Collaborate with the real estate team and other departments on cross-functional matters /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Sound knowledge of competition law and/or utilities regulation /li li Proven track record of presenting clear legal advice to clients /li li Client-facing experience and ability to develop relationships with diverse clients /li li 1–3 years of relevant legal experience /li li Strong communication and analytical skills /li /ul ul li Client-focused /li li Clear communicator /li li Collaborative teamwork /li li Competition law /li li Utilities regulation /li li Merger clearances /li /ul
