Junior Lawyer - Public / Regulatory / Energy Law (6 Month Contract)

Location: Glasgow

Start Date: Immediate / Short Notice Preferred

Experience Level: Circa NQ – 3 years PQE

Leading UK Regulator is looking to hire a Junior Lawyer to join their in-house legal team, with a focus on public law, regulatory law, and energy law. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience on complex, high-impact matters in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is immediately available.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on public and administrative law matters, including statutory interpretation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Supporting regulatory compliance and risk assessments.
  • Assisting with legal research, drafting, and review of legal documents, policies, and submissions.
  • Working on matters related to energy regulation, infrastructure projects, and sector-specific legislation.
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies, government authorities, and external counsel.
  • Supporting dispute resolution and contentious regulatory matters when required.
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments relevant to the sector.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with circa NQ- 3 PQE.
  • Ideally, you will have experience in public law, regulatory law, and/or energy law (candidates with general commercial are also invited to apply).
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Good understanding of regulatory environments and government processes.
