Leading employment team of one of the largest commercial law firms in London is looking to add to the high profile team with the recruitment of a lawyer with circa 4-5 years PQE. The department’s work in 2015 has included some of the largest corporate transactions, advising on redundancies and corporate restructurings, acting for clients seeking to enforce restrictive covenants against former employees and advising on the termination or appointment of a number of listed company directors.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the day‐to‐day contact for advising clients on a wide range of employment issues.
- Taking responsibility for the employment aspects of corporate transactions of all kinds, including share and asset sales and outsourcings.
- Developing the practice by promoting the Firm and its work ‐ both to existing and potential clients.
Candidate Requirements:
- Works in a recognised employment practice and has between 4‐5+ years’ post qualification experience in employment and is capable of substantial work with limited supervision.
- Strong academic background and a demonstrable, high level of intellectual rigour.
- Experience in employment aspects of transactions and in dealing with employment issues in relation to directors and senior executives.
- Could also have some pensions or share plans experience, but this is not essential ‐ this is principally an employment role.
- Ability to draft, advise and negotiate in relation to complex transactions and cases.
- First rate legal/commercial knowledge and analytical skills.
- Excellent client relationship skills.
