Leading Scottish law firm is seeking an ambitious Senior Associates/ Legal Directors to join its highly regarded Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside recognised employment law specialists, advising a diverse client base that includes major UK and international employers, public sector organisations, financial institutions, and high-growth businesses. This role can be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh and hybrid-working is on offer.
Role Profile: The team is recognised as one of Scotland's leading employment practices and is regularly instructed on complex and high-profile employment matters, providing both strategic advisory and contentious support to clients across a broad range of sectors. You will advise clients on a wide variety of employment law matters including:
- Day-to-day employment law and HR advisory work.
- Employment Tribunal litigation and dispute resolution.
- Disciplinary, grievance and performance management matters.
- Redundancy and restructuring projects.
- TUPE and outsourcing arrangements.
- Executive appointments, exits and settlement agreements.
- Discrimination, whistleblowing and employee relations issues.
- Employment aspects of corporate transactions and business reorganisations.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and handbooks.
You will also have the opportunity to lead complex matters, supervise junior team members, manage client relationships and play an active role in business development initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- 6 years' PQE gained within a recognised employment law team.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Excellent drafting, advocacy and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and build lasting client relationships.
