This is a strategic appointment offering the opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of an established private client practice. You will inherit a quality caseload, work with a loyal client base and have the autonomy to shape the future direction of the department. The firm advises high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, trustees and families on a broad range of wealth preservation and succession planning matters.
Role Profile:
- Advise clients on wills, trusts and succession planning.
- Provide inheritance tax, capital gains tax and estate planning advice.
- Assist high-net-worth individuals and family business owners with wealth preservation strategies.
- Manage the administration of complex estates and executries.
- Advise trustees, beneficiaries and family trusts.
- Support clients with powers of attorney and guardianship matters.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and raise the profile of the firm within the market.
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.
Candidate Requirements:
- Significant experience in private client law gained within a respected practice.
- A proven track record of advising high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Strong technical expertise across trusts, executries, tax and succession planning.
- Excellent client relationship and networking skills.
- A commercial and entrepreneurial approach.
- Experience of business development and generating new instructions.
- The ability to lead, mentor and inspire a successful team.
- Existing following or portable business is welcomed but is not essential for exceptional candidates.
