Global Life Science company is looking to hire an eDiscovery & Data Solutions Project Manager to work within the Legal Operations team and play a pivotal role in the Legal department’s mission to drive successful risk mitigation through the management of complex legal discovery projects. This role is based in Glasgow with hybrid working (circa 2/3 days a week in the office) on offer.
Role Profile:
Leveraging your expertise in eDiscovery and Data Solutions, you will oversee multiple litigation and investigation matters of varying complexity while collaborating with internal and external legal teams and IT personnel. As part of the eDiscovery & Data Solutions team, you will explore and leverage emerging AI technologies to enhance departmental efficiency. You will manage incoming eDiscovery requests from collection to production, working closely with the eDiscovery & Data Solutions core team, the Sr. Manager of Legal Operations, and various members of the Legal department. You will contribute to all stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model and consult with stakeholders throughout the process to ensure an accurate product for our customers. Additionally, you will develop specialized skills in either the Collection/Preservation or Processing/Review/Production areas of eDiscovery. This role requires both independent critical thinking and collaboration with a diverse team of eDiscovery Project Managers and Legal Operations specialists. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to present your results to key stakeholders within the organization, blending technical work with strategic communication.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage eDiscovery projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with legal teams, IT staff, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Utilize Microsoft Purview and RelativityOne for data collection, processing, review, and production.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee the identification, preservation, collection, processing, and review of electronically stored information (ESI).
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the eDiscovery process.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and address any issues or risks promptly.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Candidate Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a technical eDiscovery role.
- General understanding of the Electronic Data Reference Model (EDRM).
- Experience acquiring data under the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Experience using Microsoft Purview eDiscovery to search and export data.
- Experience with collection tools such as EnCase and Cellebrite’s Digital Collector.
- Experience with RelativityOne document review platform; including but not limited to document review, analysis productions, crafting complex keyword and dtSearch queries.
- Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with the Relativity aiR suite is a benefit but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, multi-task with good follow-through skills and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as alone to accomplish tasks without supervision.
Preferred Qualification:
- BS in Computer Science, Legal Studies, Paralegal certificate or equivalent technical or legal discipline experience required.
- Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), EnCaseâ„¢ Certified eDiscovery Practitioner (EnCEP), EnCaseâ„¢ Certified Examiner (EnCE) and/or Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) are all a plus but not required.
