We are working with a global commodities / shipping group of companies to support the build of a bunker fuels pricing platform that will be used by both internal users and external customers. Reporting to the COO, this part of the business is run more like a tech start-up, whilst having the backing and resources of a large global group and the advantage of working in an office of c.80 people.
This is a key role in this small team and as such has broad requirements that balance current, hands on coding experience (C# back end and JavaScript/Angular front end) with architecture responsibilities and oversight of devops/infrastructure. There is also line responsibility for an offshore development team (currently 7 but includes leads).
The client is particularly interested in small-medium sized company, start up or scale-up experience - i.e. you are not fazed by unstructured environments or broader roles where you can help define / design processes, future strategy etc.
This is a great role for someone wanting to step up from an engineering lead into more of an Engineering Manager role over the coming years, helping grow the platform and team.
Candidates should be aware that this role is based in a central London office 5 days per week.
