Software Engineering Team Lead / Architect

We are working with a global commodities / shipping group of companies to support the build of a bunker fuels pricing platform that will be used by both internal users and external customers. Reporting to the COO, this part of the business is run more like a tech start-up, whilst having the backing and resources of a large global group and the advantage of working in an office of c.80 people. This is a key role in this small team and as such has broad requirements that balance current, hands on coding experience (C# back end and JavaScript/Angular front end) with architecture responsibilities and oversight of devops/infrastructure. There is also line responsibility for an offshore development team (currently 7 but includes leads). The client is particularly interested in small-medium sized company, start up or scale-up experience – i.e. you are not fazed by unstructured environments or broader roles where you can help define / design processes, future strategy etc. This is a great role for someone wanting to step up from an engineering lead into more of an Engineering Manager role over the coming years, helping grow the platform and team.
