This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a transformation programme as our client - a Global Investment bank - embeds Site Reliability Engineering across the firm. This role will be working specifically across the Corporate banking / Payments org and be part of a collective of individuals globally working across the firm to assist/advise/consult at various levels. This is a complex environment with 800 applications, an organisation of 1500 people and a huge amount of tech from mainframe/midrange to Java, .Net, Windows.
Duties:
- The SRE Lead designs and leads reliability engineering across banking and payments, establishing SRE standards, automation, and learning practices to improve resilience, reduce incidents, and scale engineering led operations.
- Leads Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy, automation, reliability by design, and observability.
- Reduces incidents and improves recovery.
- Skilled in resilient engineering, risk control, and scaling operations across complex banking and payments environments.
- Demonstrate flexibility, navigate ambiguity, and quickly establish credibility among technical peers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proven track record of delivering / implementing SRE into a complex and challenging environment.
This role is hybrid 3 days a week in London and will be a long term contracting role. All candidates will be expected to work via Umbrella company.
