Our leading Investment Banking client is looking for a Senior Java Architect / Lead Developer to join a business-critical technology team.
What you'll be doing:
- Shaping the architecture of strategic trading and financing platforms.
- Designing and building scalable, event-driven systems using Java and Kafka.
- Leading the design and implementation of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, managers and engineering teams.
- Supporting platforms that underpin financing, securities lending and equity derivatives workflows.
What we're looking for:
- Strong Java engineering background.
- Experience with distributed event-driven systems and data streaming.
- FO experience.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the business.

- Low-latency engineering experience.
