Our client is a leading global investment management firm that's building out its Enterprise architecture function. This isn't a governance-heavy EA role, it's a hands-on position with real scope to shape how technology is designed, built, and scaled across the business with a focus on investments and front office risk functions.
You'll be one of the senior technical voices in a relatively new function, which means your opinions will land. This is a key role within a newly formed function, initially focused on providing architectural and technical guidance across core platform components that will underpin broader efforts to standardise, modernise, and simplify the technology landscape over time.
What you actually will be doing:
- Defining how systems are designed, integrated, and evolved across a broad tech estate (cloud and on-prem)
- Working alongside engineering and delivery teams to set the bar on solution design and engineering standards
- Building reusable patterns and pushing the organisation toward a platform-oriented model
- Influencing senior stakeholders without losing the respect of the engineers in the room
- Identifying where the real problems are and having the credibility to fix them
This is a role for someone who's done this before, who's comfortable going wide across a complex landscape, has strong opinions on modern application design, and knows how to bring people with them.
Get in touch with us if:
- You’ve operated at a senior architecture level, helping shape direction across multiple teams or systems
- You have a hands-on technical background and a strong understanding of modern application design
- You’re comfortable working across a mix of cloud and on-prem environments
- You’re able to influence both technical teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience within financial services or similarly complex environments would be beneficial
London-based, hybrid. Genuine scope. The architecture function is young enough that what you build here will be yours.
