We're partnering exclusively with a globally recognised, tier‑one asset management firm on one of the most compelling architecture briefs we've seen this year. This isn't a build-and-maintain role. This is a define-and-shape role. The firm is at a genuine inflection point with AI - and they're hiring a dedicated Enterprise AI Architect to sit within the Enterprise Architecture function, working directly alongside the Chief Architect to design and govern AI adoption across a complex, global institution.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning the firm's Enterprise AI Architecture end‑to‑end, model infrastructure, orchestration layers, data pipelines, governance controls
- Designing reference architectures for agentic AI and multi-agent workflows (MCP, LangChain, AutoGen and equivalents)
- Embedding AI into the core data and content platform via RAG, vector databases, and proprietary data unlocking
- Building and operationalising the AI governance framework- model risk, explainability, bias monitoring, regulatory compliance
- Translating front‑to‑back investment management use cases into concrete AI architectural blueprints
- Scanning frontier AI developments and advising senior leadership on strategic bets
- Guiding Architecture Review Board (ARB) decisions and producing exec‑grade artefacts
What we're looking for:
- 10+ years in technology architecture, with 3–5 years specifically in AI/ML architecture within large enterprise environments
- Hands‑on command of the modern AI stack: LLM APIs, RAG, vector DBs, embedding pipelines, agent orchestration
- Practical exposure to agentic AI and MCP-based tool‑use frameworks
- Strong enterprise data platform experience (Snowflake, Databricks or similar)
- AWS cloud‑native architecture knowledge, including Bedrock and relevant AI/ML services
- Ability to produce high-quality architecture artefacts and communicate complex ideas to non‑technical stakeholders
- Financial services experience is a strong plus – particularly asset management, investment banking or fintech
Location & Working Pattern:
London‑based | Hybrid (up to 3 days WFH per week)
This is a rare opportunity – genuine strategic influence, executive visibility, and the chance to shape how a world‑class investment firm deploys AI from the ground up.
