The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in professional ecological survey and mitigation techniques across a variety of species and habitats, while working with a busy and well-respected independent environmental consultancy.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from dedicated individuals with at least one to two seasons of relevant field experience. This role is ideal for hardworking graduates or early-career ecologists with a degree in ecology, environmental science, zoology, or a related field, who are genuinely passionate about building a career as an Ecologist.

Requirements

  • Have a degree in ecology or a related field, or suitable relevant experience.
  • Be living in the UK with the right to work in the UK.
  • Have a valid driving licence and vehicle, that can be insured for business use.
  • You will be based up to 1x hour away from our East Anglia office (Ipswich).
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel and stay away at survey sites in various locations around the UK.
  • Have confidence to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly.

It would be advantageous if you also had the following:

  • At least 1 year / season of previous experience undertaking ecological surveys in the UK.
  • A protected species licence e.g. GCN, bat or dormouse.
  • Membership to the Chartered Institute of Ecological and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
