As a Personal Injury Pre‑Litigation Assistant, you’ll play a key role in preparing accident claims (RTA, EL, PL) for litigation—building strong cases, supporting union members, and helping clients move forward after life‑changing events.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Investigating and gathering evidence to determine whether cases should proceed to litigation.
- Preparing files for issue, including assessing merits, obtaining liability evidence, securing medical reports, and instructing experts.
- Managing a high‑volume caseload with accuracy, organisation, and confidence.
- Taking clear, detailed instructions from clients, witnesses, experts, and union partners.
- Making informed decisions under supervision, using sound judgment and strong analytical skills.
- Working efficiently within a KPI framework and recording time accurately.
- Using a case management system to produce your own work and stay fully self‑sufficient.
About You
- 1–2 years’ experience in a legal environment.
- Strong client‑care skills and confidence communicating by phone or in person.
- Knowledge of PI law, Pre‑Action Protocols, CPR, and funding (or the ability to learn quickly).
- The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage a busy caseload.
- Excellent drafting, numeracy, and written communication skills.
