Are you passionate about early careers recruitment and inspired by social justice? We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to support and develop our Early Careers recruitment at Thompsons, based in Manchester.

This is a varied role focused on shaping the next generation of legal talent. You will manage end-to-end recruitment for our Trainee Solicitors, Apprenticeships and Work Experience programmes, while building strong relationships with universities and internal stakeholders. You will support Thompsons’ brand through engaging early careers initiatives, internal progression opportunities and the delivery of recruitment assessment days. Alongside this, you will manage day-to-day recruitment activity and provide accurate, efficient administrative support. You will also represent Thompsons at careers fairs, campus events and outreach activities across the UK, so some travel will be required.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a confident and proactive individual with 1–2 years’ experience in recruitment, ideally with exposure to Early Careers, Emerging Talent or high-volume recruitment. A background in recruitment, with a strong interest in or knowledge of law and social justice would also be beneficial. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential to this role, with the confidence to engage a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive and organised approach is also important, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. You will benefit from having strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS). It is important to have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Most importantly, you will share our values and be motivated by the opportunity to support social mobility and access to careers in law.
