We’re looking to expand our well‑established Industrial Disease team in Leeds. The team specialises in representing clients affected by a wide range of occupational diseases, including noise‑induced hearing loss (NIHL), hand–arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), occupational asthma, work‑related upper limb disorders (WRULD), stress‑related conditions and other industrial disease claims. We support clients through difficult and often life‑changing circumstances, helping them and their families secure justice, answers and vital support.

The role involves managing a varied caseload of industrial disease claims, handling all aspects of a case from initial instruction through to conclusion. This will include investigating liability and causation, gathering medical and occupational evidence, advising clients throughout the litigation process and progressing cases in line with agreed timescales and standards. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the team to ensure consistency, quality and best practice in both case handling and client care, contributing to a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Our disease lawyers combine technical competence with empathy and sensitivity. Many clients are living with long‑term or debilitating conditions, and delivering a professional, personal and compassionate service is central to the role.

We’re keen to hear from qualified lawyers with experience of handling industrial or occupational disease claims. You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience of managing cases involving NIHL, HAVS, occupational asthma, WRULD, stress‑related conditions or similar disease claims
  • A good understanding of the litigation process, including funding and costs
  • The ability to manage your own caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of client care
  • A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with clients in sensitive circumstances
  • An interest in developing your career within a specialist industrial disease practice

We offer a comprehensive benefits package:

  • Contributory pension scheme
  • £4,000 car allowance
  • Permanent health insurance
  • Healthcare Cash Plan (Medicash)
  • Life assurance
  • 25 days annual leave (in addition to bank holidays)
  • 5 days additional leave over Christmas
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Subsidised sports and social club
  • Annual travel and parking loans
  • Financial assistance for professional development
