We are excited to offer a unique part-time position as a Case Handling Assistant in our highly successful Ex-Portal team based in Birmingham. This role is perfect for students who want flexible work while developing key legal skills. You’ll gain invaluable exposure to personal injury law while working on fast-track, pre-litigated cases involving Employers Liability and Public Liability claims for union members and their families. In addition, this role offers a structured opportunity to learn from experienced legal professionals and, for the right individual, provides a potential pathway to develop into a Litigation Assistant role in the future. This makes it an ideal first step for anyone considering a long-term career in the legal sector.
We are offering a fixed-term contract until April, working 16 hours per week with flexibility around your availability.
The role includes:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the ex-portal team.
- Assist with investigations and evidence gathering for pre-litigated accident cases.
- Perform data input and retrieval using our case management system.
- Undertake clerical, administrative, and IT support tasks to ensure smooth case progression.
- Collaborate with team members to assess whether cases should proceed to litigation.
