We’re looking for a hands-on Veterinary Practice Operations Manager to help lead the daily running of Thompson’s Pet Care, a busy, affordable, family-run veterinary practice in Liverpool.

This is not a quiet office-based management role. It is a practical, on-the-floor operations role involving diary flow, client communication, staff coordination, billing, estimates, payments, stock, premises standards, and general practice organisation.

Clinical decisions remain with the veterinary surgeons, but this person will be the senior on-site operational lead, helping make sure the practice runs safely, consistently, calmly, and efficiently day to day.

The role would suit someone with strong veterinary practice experience: for example an experienced Head Receptionist, Deputy Practice Manager, Practice Administrator, or Operations Coordinator ready to step into a senior operational role.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Practical, calm, and organised
  • Comfortable in a busy environment with frequent interruptions
  • Confident dealing with clients, staff, payments, and diary pressure
  • Willing to be hands-on rather than purely managerial
  • Able to follow systems and keep standards consistent
  • Comfortable working in a family-run independent practice

Previous veterinary practice experience is strongly preferred.
