The predicted salary is between 11 - 14 £ per hour.

Work Location: Jubilee Mill, Murton, York, YO19 5UT

Hours of work: 40 per week, working five eight hour shifts. 8am-4pm Monday to Saturday. Will include some work on Bank Holidays.

Driving Licence Required: Full UK driving licence.

Any additional qualifications: Counterbalance (training will be given).

Job Purpose of Warehouse Operative: The Warehouse Operative is responsible for assisting in the safe operation of site functions such as Warehouse, Blending shed and Mill holiday cover, and vehicle loading and unloading of raw materials and feeds (bulk & bags) to meet the business needs.

Job Tasks for Warehouse Operative:

  • Packing and bagging products, including lifting and carrying weights of up to 25kg.
  • Accepting deliveries, safely unloading and correctly storing raw materials and other goods.
  • Picking and loading products onto Company vehicles for delivery and customers own vehicles if collecting.
  • Managing stock rotation of raw materials and bagged feeds.
  • Testing of product samples when necessary.
  • Public weighs using the Company weighbridge.
  • Managing tote bins including emptying tote bin fines when required.
  • Carrying out cleaning and minor repair and maintenance work in the warehouse and other site areas as required.
  • Holiday cover for the Blending shed operator and to assist at peak times.
  • Safe and clean production of animal feed and other Company produce.
  • Safe operation of Company machinery and vehicles.
  • Ensure the correct clothing and appropriate safety devices are worn at all times whilst carrying out your work.
  • Adhoc Mill Support would be required as and when needed.
