We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our team at an animal feed mill based in Murton. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards across the site to ensure compliance with feed safety regulations and to support efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities of a Hygiene Operative:

  • 40% of time cleaning trucks to ensure feed safety and 60% of time cleaning in the mill.
  • Perform deep-cleaning tasks using industrial cleaning tools and chemicals in line with safety procedures.
  • Ensure all work areas, including floors, walkways, and storage areas, are kept clean and free from contamination.
  • Safely handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Assist with hygiene checks and documentation to meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • Follow all health and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support production teams when required while maintaining hygiene standards.

Requirements of a Hygiene Operative:

  • Previous cleaning or hygiene experience in a manufacturing, food, or agricultural environment is desirable but not essential (full training provided).
  • Willingness to work in a dusty industrial environment.
