The Opportunity: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our team at an animal feed mill based in Murton. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards across the site to ensure compliance with feed safety regulations and to support efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities of a Hygiene Operative:
- Carry out scheduled cleaning of production areas, machinery, and equipment within the feed mill.
- Perform deep-cleaning tasks using industrial cleaning tools and chemicals in line with safety procedures.
- Ensure all work areas, including floors, walkways, and storage areas, are kept clean and free from contamination.
- Safely handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with hygiene checks and documentation to meet internal and external audit requirements.
- Follow all health and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support production teams when required while maintaining hygiene standards.
Requirements of a Hygiene Operative:
