The Role
As an HGV Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers' fleets remain safe, compliant, and operational.Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Performing inspections in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Repairing, assembling, and replacing vehicle components
- Welding and fabrication work when required
- Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and workmanship
- Delivering excellent customer service and technical support
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or similar role
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience using modern workshop tools and diagnostic equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience (desirable)
- A proactive, problem-solving approach
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
