Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per annum (+ paid overtime)
Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:00 with regular travel nationally and fully expensed overnight stays required)
The Opportunity
Thompson & Terry Recruitment are looking to recruit a Technician to join a small but highly experienced team based in Didcot who operate within a highly regulated technical industry. As Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out general workshop operations within a technical and highly regulated environment. A huge part of this role will involve travelling to schools, hospitals, and businesses nationally to carry out collections and until fully trained and competent you will be supporting other technicians as part of the training programme. Once up to speed, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to independently carry out collections and also work alongside colleagues too, depending on the size and complexity of the work.
The successful Technician will enjoy regular training to ensure safety and compliance is consistently up to date and will also offer the opportunity to learn and grow into the role. Thompson & Terry Recruitment’s client are looking for a technically minded candidate with solid attention to detail who genuinely wants to do a good job for many years to come. As part of the essential demand for this work across the UK, regular travel and also overnight stays (on average 5 nights per month) will be required from the successful Technician. Our client offers such a vital service and is one of very few businesses able to support in their field therefore it is important that the successful candidate is able to be flexible with travel nationally and very occasionally internationally.
