The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all quality tasks and deliverables are completed on time and to the required standard. This role supports assembly, new product introductions, and supplier performance. It focuses on preventing defects through proactive risk management, effective problem solving, and promoting built in quality across the product lifecycle, all while ensuring regulatory compliance. Operating in a fast paced environment, the Quality Assurance Engineer will rely on strong teamwork within both the design and production organisations to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction, ensuring the delivery of business class seating for the worlds leading airlines.
Responsibilities
- Work in accordance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
- Ensure that all products are manufactured and assembled in accordance with the relevant standards.
- Support the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System to ensure continued AS9100, Airworthiness/Regulatory, OEM and Customer compliance.
- Drive defect prevention and embed a culture of built in quality across production and the new product introduction processes.
- Work within integrated project teams throughout the product lifecycle to influence the Engineering, Supply Chain and Operational processes to ensure that Quality standards can be achieved on a repeated basis.
- Conform test articles and test plans to the required standards.
- Ensure that new products are developed and introduced in accordance with the VNPI process.
- Support customer and OEM milestone reviews.
- Create Quality Alerts, Quality Inspection Plans, First Article Inspection Reports.
