The post holder will be responsible for managing and implementing changes through the change management system, ensuring smooth transitions while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs) on 123 Insight.
  • Facilitate the Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to drive completion of actions and assist in the approval of Engineering Changes and record minutes.
  • Check the accuracy of Engineering Bills of Material (EBOMs) against the MBOMs.
  • Creation of Engineering Change requests and Manufacturing change requests.
  • Design, prove, implement and/or maintain production systems to deliver product on time, to quality requirements and to cost.
  • Support continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques.
  • Support product design for manufacture and assembly activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of manufacturing engineering procedures, documentation and systems data.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation.
  • Conduct regular process and system reviews to ensure continuous improvement of the product change management process as part of the process ownership.

Requirements

  • Experienced in use of MS Office.
  • Awareness of MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTEC Professional Award or equivalent NVQ qualifications (or working towards).
  • Experience working in an Engineering environment.
