The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Facilities capital expenditure projects, building remodelling and infrastructure projects, large strategic change programmes and site consolidation programmes from conception to handover. The post holder will work closely with internal stakeholders and coordinate the activities of external equipment vendors, designers and construction contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Support the successful delivery of large capital investment and change programmes
  • Manage the delivery of construction/engineering/manufacturing projects to include installation, commissioning of plant, equipment, building remodelling & construction projects and site consolidation programmes
  • Develop project briefs to present clearly defined aims and project objectives
  • Produce project execution plans complete with risk management plans
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication ensuring the delivery of high value, complex projects in terms of scope, schedule, cost and effective project delivery
  • Monitor, report and escalate project issues and risks
  • Initiate enquiries and feasibility studies with vendors, evaluate proposals and prepare accurate and realistic budgets and programmes
  • Support tender process and supplier/contractor selection
  • Organise testing, commissioning and validation of new plant and equipment
  • Oversee a multi-disciplinary team of equipment vendors, external consultants, engineers and contractors throughout project lifecycles
  • Delivery and handover of compliant construction and building remodelling projects to business users

Requirements

Essential

  • 5+ years' experience of project management delivery, encompassing full project life cycle, budget responsibility and capital investment within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent internal and external communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • A third level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent
  • A recognised H&S certification e.g. IOSH
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Experience in supporting site consolidation programmes and large strategic change programmes
