Location: Portadown, Craigavon, United Kingdom Earnings: Salary discussed on application The Quality Assurance Engineer in NPI acts as the lead Quality representative on integrated project teams, supporting the development and introduction of business class seating for the world's leading airlines. This role ensures all quality deliverables are completed on time and to standard. The engineer will drive defect prevention, promote built-in quality, and lead problem solving activities to embed quality into every stage of the product development lifecycle. A key focus is enabling smooth product launches through proactive risk management, continuous improvement, and strong teamwork across the production and design organisations. Responsibilities Work in accordance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors Ensure that all products are manufactured and assembled in accordance with the relevant standards Support the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System to ensure continued AS9100, Airworthiness/Regulatory, OEM and Customer compliance Develop Product Quality Standards for NPI programmes, and liaise directly with suppliers and customers to achieve alignment and approval prior to the first production run Work within integrated project teams throughout the product lifecycle to influence the Engineering, Supply Chain and Operational processes to ensure that Quality standards can be achieved on a repeated basis Conform test articles and test plans to the required standards Ensure that new products are developed and introduced in accordance with the VNPI process Support customer and OEM milestone reviews Create Quality Alerts, Quality Inspection Plans, First Article Inspection Reports & Product Quality Standards Support the review of Engineering drawings and technical data Work alongside manufacturing and assembly to improve operational performance Lead MRB disposition and investigations Lead and facilitate quality improvement activities through structured problem solving Support the internal and external audit programme Implement monitoring systems for measuring/reporting quality performance, establishing performance targets, and tracking improvements Reward Competitive salary Annual bonus (linked to company performance) Flexi time working Β£5,000 employee referral bonus Health cash plan Contributory Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme Holiday Purchase Scheme - Salary Sacrifice Electric Car Scheme - Salary Sacrifice Cycle to Work Scheme Life Assurance Scheme at x4 gross salary Competitive enhanced Maternity and Paternity pay IVF & Assisted Conception Policy Women in Business - Corporate Member Wellbeing Initiatives Employee Recognition scheme Service Awards Local charity / sponsorship activities Dedicated employee parking Discounted Gym membership Learning and development opportunities Career progression Requirements Essential Degree or a higher-level qualification, such as HNC/HND, in a relevant discipline Demonstrate working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 standards Knowledge of quality management principles, tools and techniques Experience of working within a manufacturing and/or a Quality environment Possess strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications Excellent problem solving and decision making The ability to interpret technical drawings We reserve the right to enhance criteria on shortlisting.
