The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Facilities and Maintenance Department and all aspects of the business by maintaining, repairing and installing new electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on industrial electrical systems
  • Use of initiative to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems
  • Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations
  • Maintain and operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment
  • Perform facility inspections and audits and report any issues raised to Facilities Manager
  • Carry out regular PPM
  • Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Fire alarm system and access control systems etc.
  • Comply with site safety procedures and requirements
  • Support all production shifts by means of emergency callouts
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of site Safety and knowledge in Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Perform general site maintenance and liaise with contractors to ensure high standards of work and on time delivery

Requirements

  • Essential City and Guilds in Electrical Installations or Equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of fire detection systems
  • Knowledge of communication network systems
  • Knowledge of access control systems
  • Valid Driving License and access to own vehicle
  • Desirable Organisational / time management skills
