The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The post holder will be responsible for managing and implementing design changes through the change management system as well as developing and improving protocols and procedures. They will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders in the change management process ensuring alignment of priorities to enable smooth design release into production.
Responsibilities
- Creation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs) on 123 Insight
- Facilitate the Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to drive completion of actions and assist in the approval of Engineering Changes and record minutes
- Checking the accuracy of Engineering Bills of Material (EBOMs) against the MBOMs
- Creation of Engineering Change requests and Manufacturing change requests
- Design, prove, implement and/or maintain production systems to deliver product on time, to quality requirements and to cost
- Support continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques
- Support product design for manufacture and assembly activities
- Ensure accuracy of manufacturing engineering procedures, documentation and systems data
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
- Conduct regular process and system reviews to ensure continuous improvement of the product change management process as part of the process ownership

Requirements
- Essential Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD
- Experienced in use of MS Office
- Awareness of MRP systems
- Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTEC Professional Award or equivalent NVQ qualifications (or working towards)
- Experience working in an Engineering environment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Understanding of engineering, scientific and other technical information
