Responsibilities

• Ensure plant maintenance and repairs are completed in line with the defect tracker.
• Working at Oxton Dept or on site as directed.
• Servicing of machines when their set operating hours have been met.
• Carry out / Assist with any maintenance and repair requirements that occur on site.
• Perform machine safety checks to ensure full working order.
• Submit sign off sheet to Plant Manager upon completion of any repairs.
• Take photos of damaged plant / vehicles received or inspected.
• Ensure all necessary parts are ordered as required through the supplier network
• Keep an updated stocklist of parts.
• Ensure that the vehicle is always maintained and road worthy.
• Ensure all plant and vehicle are in the best possible condition

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or fitter in a plant or vehicle maintenance environment.
• Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, plant maintenance, or motor vehicle repair.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence (HGV or trailer licence desirable but not essential).
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with construction or agricultural equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills. (desirable but not essential).
