Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects.
Analyse labour, material, and time requirements. Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
Assess project risks and incorporate contingencies into the estimate.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.
Participate in bid reviews and presentations.
Track and compare actual costs to estimates post-project to improve future accuracy.
Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
Often works closely with project and commercial teams.

The Candidate will have:

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
Understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in estimating or a related construction role.
