Position: "Live in" Resident Caretaker

Salary: £30k Per annum

Benefits: 1 bedroom apartment, council tax included

Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

Holidays: 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Thomas Webb are looking to recruit a "live in" Resident Caretaker for a 1930's mansion block in South West London. In addition to the £30k salary, this role also offers a very generous rent and council tax free, 1 bedroom apartment on site. The role requires that the "live in" Resident Caretaker be on call for emergencies on evenings and weekends, except when on annual leave.

The successful Resident Caretaker must meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Caretaker in a Residential environment
  • Good working knowledge of day to day Residential Leasehold Management
  • A naturally positive, friendly, willing and helpful attitude
  • Natural willingness to take ownership of the responsibility for resolving residents issues

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Acting as the eyes and ears of the Managing Agent, reporting any significant ongoings
  • Acting as the residents "liaison" regarding questions and queries relating to the day to day management of the development
  • Ensuring that the development runs smoothly with regards to security, cleaning, maintenance, health and safety, fire safety, and rectifying any issues that arise
  • Carrying out handyman duties
  • Overseeing contractors when on site
  • Parking management
  • Refuse management
  • Holding and issuing keys
  • Maintaining reports, logs and records relating to the management of the development
  • Manning the site office when not operating around the development
