We are currently recruiting for 2 x Day Residential Security Officer to work at a large, vibrant residential development in E14. The Day Residential Security Officer will be responsible for the security of a development comprising 3000 apartments, with gym, restaurants and cafes on site. The development also offers residents the use of beautifully landscaped grounds and gardens.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to the residential development, ensuring only authorised persons are allowed access.
- Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the development, including communal areas, car parks, and external perimeters, to deter and detect any suspicious activities or safety hazards.
- Surveillance: Monitor CCTV cameras to identify any security breaches or incidents and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security or safety incidents, including alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, in accordance with established procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service to residents and visitors, answering queries, giving directions, and ensuring a safe and friendly environment.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, patrols, and any maintenance issues encountered during shifts. Report all issues to the Site Supervisor or Security Manager.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying any risks or hazards and reporting them appropriately.
- Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with and implement emergency procedures, including fire evacuation and first aid, if necessary.
- Liaison with Authorities: Work closely with local law enforcement or emergency services when required, providing necessary assistance during investigations or emergencies.
- Key Management: Safeguard and manage the distribution and return of keys for various areas of the development.
- Visitor Management: Oversee visitor sign-in procedures, ensuring all guests are registered, and issue temporary access passes where necessary.
- Maintain Professional Appearance: Ensure that you are presentable at all times, wearing the security uniform and displaying ID badges.
All applicants for this Day Residential Security Officer must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an in-date SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor Licence
- SIA CCTV license preferred but not essential
- 2 years previous experience working as a security officer in a 5 star hotel or residential environment
- Have exceptional level English language skills
- Be an exceptional communicator
- Be articulate and well spoken
- Have the natural ability to build rapport with residents, contractors, visitors and undesirables to achieve satisfactory outcomes for all parties
- Be able to resolve disputes in a calm and productive manner
- Hold the ability to resolve conflict and deescalate emotive situations
- Be punctual, organised, reliable and dependable
