An experienced Interim Project Manager is required to lead resident safety, statutory compliance, and operational control during a period of refurbishment and concurrent construction within an occupied residential building in Westminster. This on-site role is critical to maintaining safe separation between residential areas and live works, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, while protecting residents, assets, and life-safety systems throughout a high-risk, live environment. The role acts as the primary interface between residents, contractors, and the client senior management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead health and fire safety management, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and Golden Thread requirements
- Manage residential refurbishment works within a live block management setting
- Oversee facilities, BMS, and critical building systems, ensuring no unauthorised interference
- Control contractor management, RAMS, permits-to-work, and site coordination
- Manage project and operational budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
- Act as first point of escalation for safety or operational incidents
- Provide clear weekly reporting to senior stakeholders
