We are seeking an experienced Planner to support the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) works on one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects at Hinkley Point C. This role sits within a major nuclear new build programme and requires a planner with MEH construction experience across large-scale industrial or infrastructure environments. The Planner will play a key role in schedule development, performance monitoring, scenario modelling and risk-informed planning across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Level 4 schedules for MEH scope
- Extract, analyse and compare project data to identify trends and performance gaps
- Develop and present “what-if” scenario schedules to support decision making
- Identify planning issues and propose mitigation and recovery strategies
- Interface with construction, engineering and project controls teams
- Ensure alignment between schedule, cost and risk functions
- Support reporting requirements in line with programme governance standards
Requirements
- Experience as a Planner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to extract, compare and analyse project data
- Demonstrated experience developing scenario-based schedules
- Evidence of identifying issues and implementing resolution / mitigation strategies
- Sustained planning experience across full project lifecycle phases
- Good understanding of Project Controls and integration between Schedule, Cost and Risk
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
