As a family run bakery business, we presently operate 28 shops in and around North Yorkshire. The opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a full time member of staff to join our office team, based at our bakery site in the market town of Helmsley, near York.
We are hoping to find a true \โall rounder\โ who is happy to get involved with all aspects of administration work within the office. Ideally with previous office experience and proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook, we need someone who is prepared to be \โhands on\โ with a common sense approach, good communication skills and a positive, hard working attitude. Organised, practical and confident on the phone, a quick learner with the ability to work to deadlines and multitask.
The individual appointed will be trained not only in more general office functions such as entering data onto our bakery production system and covering reception, but also on some specific areas of accounts work. No previous accounting experience is required for a bright mind that is comfortable with numbers. There will also be opportunities to assist with some administrative aspects of the payroll function such as organising interviews, typing appointment letters and dealing with other miscellaneous correspondence.
We are looking for someone who is cheerful, enthusiastic and able to fit comfortably into our small, friendly office team. For the right person, there will be a longer term opportunity to take on wider responsibilities and assist with staff management.
Our offices are manned from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. We anticipate this role will be for a regular 40 hour week (8.30 to 5.00pm) with the opportunity to earn overtime for additional hours worked, specifically where cover is required from 8am.
