Position Description

Part Time Site Assistant

6.00pm – 9.00pm (Monday – Friday Term Time only plus PD Days)

Thomas Telford School is seeking a reliable and proactive Part Time Site Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of our school premises during the evening hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locking up and securing the school site at the end of the day.
  • Moving and handling deliveries around the school.
  • Setting up exam desks and other furniture as required.
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly.
  • Carrying out general maintenance tasks to keep the site safe and functional.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A responsible individual with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and remain vigilant when the school is empty.
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding in a school environment.
  • Experience in caretaking, security, or maintenance roles is desirable but not essential.
  • Comfortable handling keys and managing access securely.
