Thomas Sherriff & Co Ltd are a leading Agricultural and Turf machinery dealership, covering Teesside, Northumberland, Lothian and Scottish Borders with many leading franchises including John Deere. Our growth success has led to the point of requiring a full-time Service Administrator for our busy Haddington Ag Outlet.

The main role of the position will be to provide support for the Ag Service Manager within a busy office. First-class customer service skills are required, as well as being proficient in the use of Microsoft programs including Excel and Word. Daily duties will include:

  • Being the first point of contact in the workshop
  • Creating job cards on our scheduler system
  • Processing warranty claims
  • Invoicing completed jobs

The role will suit someone who is highly organised with the ability to work as an individual as well as being part of a big team.

Essential Duties
  • Receives and directs internal and external customer enquiries for the service department
  • Checks job cards before invoicing to end customers
  • Populates Workshop Scheduler to ensure technicians have jobs on their handheld device
  • Responsible for inputting technicians' time each morning
  • Maintains service department filing, records and department information
  • Opens job cards as directed by the Outlet Service Manager and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced
  • Maintains customer care process and manages job completion in Service Admin Portal
  • Processes warranty claims and/or product improvement claims including the invoicing of charges, submission and follow-up
  • Keeps customer and machine information up to date in Dealer Business System
Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Understands the service software in the dealer business system and Deere warranty system
  • Advanced written communication skills in local language as well as in English
  • Ability to create, analyse and interpret reports
  • Organisational skills with attention to detail
