Our client is a leading UK defence contractor with a long-term partnership to manage and maintain a large and diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial MoD assets across the UK.
Working as part of a national estate management team, the Mobile Electrical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of critical electrical systems across multiple sites.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance across a wide range of electrical plant, equipment, and buildings, while providing expert technical support and maintaining high standards across the estate.
- Deliver maintenance across site services, electrical systems, plant, and infrastructure
- Carry out specialist electrical maintenance, including building wiring
- Prioritise and manage workloads across multiple sites
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Participate in the on-call rota within the maintenance team
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure work meets required standards
About You
- Proven experience maintaining electrical systems or equipment
- Comfortable working across multiple locations and managing varied workloads
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and technical standards
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
Essential Qualifications
- Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance
- Good understanding of the latest IEE Wiring Regulations
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- AP/LV (Authorised Person) Desirable (training provided if not held)
Location
MOD Rosneath, Argyll & Bute, Scotland, G84 0QT. This is a mobile role covering sites across Scotland and the North West of England. Flexibility on your home base is available, provided you are happy to travel.
