As a Facilities Engineer, you will play an important role ensuring the facilities, plant and equipment across an important R&D site is fully operational. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance across all aspects of building services undertaking planned preventive maintenance, repair, and reactive tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide maintenance support (including planned, preventive & corrective maintenance) in relation to site services, plant / equipment & buildings
- Deliver specialist maintenance support & services in relation to building plant / equipment
- Breakdown complex tasks and then execute the planned schedule of work
- Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs
- Form part of the on call rota within the Maintenance Team
Qualifications & Experience of the Plumber:
- Strong knowledge of building systems across all disciplines with a key competency in plumbing, HVAC or gas maintenance
- NVQ 2 in plumbing or equivalent
- You must be eligible to obtain MoD Security clearance
- Full UK driving licence
This role is 37 hours per week based in Portsmouth. Shift patterns for this role are 07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday and 07:30 - 12:00 on Fridays. There is a 1 week in 5 On Call rota and ample overtime opportunities.
