Thomas Search are partnering with a market-leading sustainability and building performance consultancy renowned for shaping the future of low-carbon development across the UK. As they continue to expand their specialist technical services, we are seeking a BREEAM Consultant with 2 years experience. Assessor qualification in one discipline a must.
The role offers exposure to a wide range of assessments including BREEAM, HQM, WELL, CEEQUAL and potentially LCA, though the core day-to-day responsibilities will centre on BREEAM and supporting the team with their large portfolio of ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Delivery
- Deliver BREEAM Assessments
- Support wider sustainability services where required.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Building Regulations, planning policy, and industry codes.
- Produce clear, high-quality technical reports, presentations and strategies.
- Apply analytical and creative problem-solving to produce robust, value-driven outcomes.
- Demonstrate capability in at least one designated specialist service area.
- Plan, manage and deliver consultancy work to time, budget and scope.
- Lead your own multidisciplinary projects while supporting wider teams.
- Use internal systems and forward planning to maintain strong project oversight.
- Gather, review, and analyse all required project information through client portals and documentation.
About You
- Experience delivering BREEAM assessments.
- Strong understanding of carbon, sustainability, and environmental performance in the built environment.
- A proactive, analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Confident engaging with clients, project teams and internal stakeholders.
- Working towards or already holding Chartership (IEMA, CIBSE, RICS, ICE or similar) is strongly preferred.
