We are hiring for a Communications Officer role at the Thomson Reuters Foundation. The role is based out of our London office, on a hybrid basis. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate visa sponsorship for this position. Join a dynamic Communications team working across a unique organisation that strengthens free, fair, and informed societies. Through journalism, the law, and data intelligence, the Foundation works to bolster the resilience of independent media, strengthen access to the law, and promote responsible business practices.
About the Role
As Communications Officer at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:
- Lead internal communications, creating content that drives engagement among staff.
- Coordinate staff engagement for the annual Trust Conference.
- Write materials for internal and external audiences, tailoring complex information appropriately.
- Evaluate communications effectiveness monthly and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with teams to source content and support communication requests.
- Build relationships with thought leadership and service delivery teams.
- Support external campaigns and manage inquiries.
- Contribute to campaigns for international days and support event content production.
About You
You likely have:
- Proven experience in integrated communications, preferably in an international or development context.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in internal communications an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and prioritize complex information.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and research skills.
- Self-motivation and initiative.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
- Team spirit, eagerness to learn and share expertise.
- Creativity and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
- Project management experience or interest in social/humanitarian issues is desirable.
